Teenagers in New Mexico have a lot of opportunity to keep busy. The state offers a variety of unique outdoor experiences, like Carlsbad Caverns, Petroglyphs National Monument and White Sands National Monument. There are mountains to climb throughout the state, with miles of hiking and biking trails to explore. Teenagers can wander the streets of Santa Fe and explore the unique architecture of the city, as well as the galleries, museums and shops in the area. With a state unemployment rate of 6.2%, teenagers in New Mexico who are interested in working should have the opportunity to do so.
