Although you will have to get experience as a line cook first, being a teenage chef is an awesome job for someone who loves cooking and knows their way around a kitchen. Just look around at the different restaurants in your area for opportunities to work with the type of food that you’re interested in. Since one of the busiest times at a restaurant is in the evenings, it’s a perfect after-school job.
