Lifeguard  (Hourly)

A lifeguard at Six Flags is part of the aquatics team, and they are on the front line of keeping the guests safe. Whether they're loading slide tubes or watching over the wave pool, lifeguards can make money while getting a summer tan.

Six Flags lifeguards job responsibilities:

• Keep a close eye on swimmers in the wave pool, lazy river, and other water attractions
• Act as a first responder and jump in the water to keep guests safe

To be a lifeguard at Six Flags, you must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must also complete and maintain the proper training and certification (paid for by Six Flags), and pass the ride certification tests with 100 percent accuracy.

Water Slide Attendant  (Hourly)

As a Six Flags Water Slide Attendant, you'll get paid to get wet. Water Slide Attendants are part of the Six Flags aquatics team, and their number one priority on the job is keeping guests safe. Job responsibilities include:

Ride Operator (Hourly)

A Six Flags Ride Operator is a job that will "throw you for a loop." From launching coasters to safely loading them, this job is all about providing guests with a safe and enjoyable ride experience.  Responsibilities include: 

• Entertaining guests and calming their nerves as they board the world-class Six Flags thrill machines
• Pushes buttons and pulls switches to launch attractions through the course
• Makes sure seat belts are tight, loose items are secure, and lap bars are locked to keep guests safe
• Enforces rider restrictions and measures for height requirements

Ride Operators must pass all ride certification tests with 100 percent accuracy and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. They need strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. A friendly, outgoing personality is a must because you must feel comfortable inviting guests to your boarding station.

The ability to react well in stressful and emergency situations is also important, as is taking direction from managers and supervisors. 

Six Flags Ride Operators must be at least 16 years old, and have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout the entire shift. Excellent verbal communication skills are also required.

Show Performer (Hourly)

A Six Flags show performer enhances the guest experience by providing first class entertainment through their many performances. Show performers must attend all required rehearsals and maintain a regular, prompt attendance record.  The essential responsibilities for a show performer are:

• Being on time for call times, warm ups (both physical and vocal), fight call, mic check, and all outings
• Being responsible with costumes and props.
• Maintaining character and show quality level during every show and outing
• Putting all items that are to be washed at night in designated area
• Double checking for all costume pieces and props upon clocking in
• Maintaining a high energy level in all meet & greets and all shows
• Attending special events inside and outside the Park (promotions, photo shoots, etc.) this includes helping prepare by packing costumes/makeup
• Meet and greet Guests before and after shows (shake hands, pictures with guests, conversations)

Everyone who auditions to be a show performer at Six Flags must be at least 16 years old, and be willing to learn multiple shows.  Show performers must be willing to perform up to seven shows per day, while maintaining a positive attitude and handling the stress and pressure of a fast-paced theater. 

Other requirements include the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, a strong work ethic and positive conversation skills, proper microphone care, and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions. 

Games  (Hourly)

When working in the Games Department at Six Flags, you will challenge players to hit a target, land a ring, or climb a wobbly rope ladder. You'll show them how to play, while reassuring them that the giant prize they want is just one point away. Job responsibilities include: 

• Attracting passersby to play your game on the way to their next ride
• Hosting your own game station
• Explaining rules and demonstrate the game to show how it’s done
• Following procedures to keep game play fair for everyone
• Taking payment for games, receiving games bucks and returning proper change
• Entertaining players and encourage them while they are playing
• Handing out capes, basketballs, stuffed animals, and other prizes to excited winners

To work in the Games Department at Six Flags, you must have a friendly outgoing personality and feel comfortable inviting guests to your game booth.  Games workers must be at least 16 years old, and have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout the entire shift. Monster Maker  (Hourly)

As a Six Flags Monster Maker, you will use airbrushing and other makeup applications to create Fright Fest looks. You are also responsible for creating and maintaining costumes and props. Job responsibilities include: 

• Creating and maintaining quality makeup looks during every application
• Attending all required rehearsals
• Maintaining a regular prompt attendance record
• Having characters ready on time for call times
• Cleaning and maintaining all equipment nightly and between uses
• Attending and assisting with special events inside and outside the Park (promotions, photo shoots, etc.)
• Supporting and promoting the Guest first philosophy

To work as a Monster Maker at Six Flags, you must be 16 years old. You must also audition for this role, and be willing to learn multiple makeup applications. Monster Makers must maintain a positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.  They must also be willing to adapt to new makeups and shows, have a strong work ethic, and be able to make decisions quickly.

Food & Beverage Worker  (Hourly)

A Food & Beverage worker at Six Flags is part of the Foods Team -- which ranges from outdoor carts to restaurants to catered outings.  Food & Beverage workers prepare, serve, or sell food for the different eateries in the park, and they have fun both inside and outside of the kitchen. The Six Flags Food and Beverage Department offers advancement opportunities into leadership roles and flexible scheduling.

Job responsibilities include:

• Providing exceptional guest service while surrounded by roller coasters
• Greeting and asking guests about their favorite ride as they walk up to your location
• Taking guests’ orders, offering suggestions and upselling the most delicious menu items
• Feeding hungry guests promptly and satisfying growling stomachs with fresh, made-to-order foods
• Operating Point of Sale (POS) registers
• Preparing everything from double bacon cheeseburgers to ice cold soft drinks to delectable funnel cake sundaes and more.

Six Flags Food & Beverage workers must be at least 14 years old and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent verbal communication skills. Basic computer literacy is required, as well as the ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach. 

Game Technician  (Hourly)

As a Six Flags Game Technician, you will perform routine and preventative maintenance on the park's various games and other electrical projects.  Responsibilities include:

• Repairing games as needed
• Performing routine preventative maintenance on games equipment
• Performing daily check of games equipment for proper operation
• Monitoring games parts inventory
• Basic electrical support
• General labor
• Additional tasks or projects as assigned by the department lead

To work as a Games Technician at Six Flags, you must be at least 18 years old. Mechanical inclination is preferred, with a basic maintenance aptitude. 

Landscaper (Hourly)

A Six Flags landscaper is part of a team that maintains the landscaping throughout the park. Applicants must be willing to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. Job duties include:

• General gardening in park flower beds
• Replacing and replanting flowers in the park
• General weeding and watering
• Mowing grass in the park and outer perimeters of park property

Park Services Team Member (Hourly)

A Six Flags Park Services Team Member is responsible for maintaining clean and safe street areas by sweeping up trash. Other job responsibilities include:

• Hosing down and squeegeeing street pathways and trash cans
• Cleaning and changing trash can liners throughout the day
• Maintaining the overall cleanliness of all restrooms in the park in a safe and efficient manner

Admissions Team Member (Hourly)

Six Flags Admissions Team Members are responsible for assisting park guests with information. Their number one job priority is to provide world class guest service to everyone who comes through the gate. Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Assisting Guests with general park information, submitting feedback regarding experience, and troubleshooting technological difficulties.
• Adhering to and enforcing company policies and procedures while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Admissions Team Members at Six Flags are required to work various shifts as needs dictate. They must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have basic computer literacy. Festival and Events Crew Member (Hourly)

Six Flags Festival and Events Crew Members assist with the set up and operation of all in-park festivals and events, including Fright Fest. Essential duties and responsibilities include: 

• Assisting in all Fright Fest and event décor set up
• Maintaining all décor and lights with a focus on attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team, collaborate, and follow verbal and written directions
• Ability to work on ladders and lifts frequently, and for long periods of time
• Adhering to all department and company safety policies and standards
• Maintaining overall daily cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency
• Must have a willingness to operate lifts and other machinery
• Will be required to complete a fall protection safety course
